Dr. Sarai Aharoni is a lecturer and a researcher in the program for Gender Studies in the Ben Gurion University in the Negev.
Her work specialises in gender, feminism, and international affairs through the prism of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and how it effects the status of women, and the incorporation of Israeli women in the peace process through governmental organisation and in civilian actions for peace.
Dr. Aharoni is an enthusiastic activist in promoting women rights in Israel and is the co-founder of the Research Institute and the feminist archives in Haifa. She was a prominent figure in passing correction no. 4 in the "law for women rights" (2005) and an activist in implementing decision 1325 in Israel.
