Darya Henig Shaked is a venture capitalist and social justice activist based in Silicon Valley.
She is the founder of WeAct Ventures, an investment fund focused on oversubscribed women-led Venture Capital funds, and Stride Ventures, a social venture company focused on advancing women and gender equality.
Darya previously served as the COO at Vital Capital Fund, a $350M private equity fund investing in Sub-Saharan Africa, and has extensive experience in public-private partnerships.
Earlier in her career, she was recruited by Israel’s then Prime Minister, Ehud Barak, where she served on his team at the Prime Minister’s office and, separately, at Israel’s Ministry of Housing & Construction.
Darya served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces and spent additional 2 years in related activities under the Prime Minister's office.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Bar Ilan University and completed executive programs at both Singularity University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
