Orit Perlov

Orit Perlov, a social media analyst, follows and analyses the discourse on the social networks in Arab states.
Her work includes daily dialogue with Palestinian, Egyptian, Jordanian, Syrian, Lebanese, Libyan and Tunisian members of civil society in order to understand in-depth processes taking places within Arab societies, and using these platforms as a lever for public opinion in these countries.
Orit serves as a consultant and guest lecturer for various research, security and government bodies. From 2002-2008, she worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during which she served, inter alia, at the Israeli embassy in Jordan, and co-established the Arabic information site of the Foreign Ministry, and worked in the Persian Gulf states as a political advisor.
In the spring of 2013, Orit participated in the annual seminar of the US Department of State on National Security and Policy, during which she and published an article on the opportunities offered by social networks for US foreign policy.
