Mrs. Rony Yedidia-Clein arrived in New Delhi in August 2020 to begin her tenure as Deputy Chief of Mission.
She began her diplomatic career in 1994 as a member of the prestigious Diplomatic Cadets’ course, specializing in Administrative Affairs.
She has previously served as Consul in the Consulate General of Israel in Istanbul, as Director of Administration in the Embassy of Israel in Moscow, as Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Israel to New England and as Minister Counsellor for Public Diplomacy at the Embassy of Israel to the United Kingdom.
She has also held a variety of positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Jerusalem, as well as a tenure as Foreign Policy Adviser to the Minister of Culture.
Mrs. Yedidia-Clein holds a BA in English Literature from Tel Aviv University, an MA in American Studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and an additional MA in Public Policy, also from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
She is married and lives with her husband in New Delhi, while their children are scattered around the world, in Israel, California and Singapore.
