Sima Shine

Sima Shine is a Senior research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).
Sima Shine served for most of her career in the Israeli Intelligence Community. Her last position was Head of Research & Evaluation in the Mossad (2003-2007).
After retiring, Shine served as Deputy Head for Strategic Affairs of Israel's National Security Council (2008-2009).
In the years 2009-2015 Ms. Shine served as head of Iranian division and the Deputy Director General of Israel's Ministry of Strategic Affairs.
Sima holds a B.A in Middle East Studies and an M.A in Political Science and she is a graduate of the National Security College.
Sima was chosen to light a torch in the ceremony of the 67 Independence Day celebration of the State of Israel.
