Dr. Zipi Israeli is Head of the Israeli Society and Public Opinion program at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS).
She is also a research fellow at the Institute.
Zipi is a lecturer at executive Political Communications MA program and the executive MA program for Security and Diplomacy at Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Israeli has a BA in Policy from Bar-Ilan University, and a MA and Doctorate in Political Science focusing on Public Media, both from Bar-Ilan University. Her thesis dealt with the symbiotic relationship between the Israeli Air Force and the media.
During her doctoral studies she received the prestigious President's Scholarship for Exceptional Doctoral Students. Her research focused on the relations between a political-security establishment, protest groups and the media in a low intensity conflict, using Israel in Lebanon (1985-2000) as a case study. Previously she ran the activity of the Political Science Research Institute at Bar-Ilan University and has taught at Ariel University, Shenkar and Yizrael Valley Academic College.
Zipi also served as a member of the Steering Committee for the Association of Civil-Military Studies in Israel and a member of the Association’s academic team.
