Inbal Tal

The Islamic Movement in Israel, Gender and 'Islamic Feminism,' Modern Islamic Movements in the Israeli and European Contexts, Social Networks in the Arab World, Gender in Arab Society in Israel.

Dr. Inbal Tal is a research fellow at the Dayan Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University.

She holds a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern History (2011, University of Haifa).

Dr. Tal is an expert on modern Islamic movements in the Israeli and European contexts and on 'Islamic Feminism.'

Her doctoral dissertation, a pioneering study in the academic literature, addresses the issue of women's activism within the Islamic Movement in Israel from 1983 to 2007.

Her book based on her dissertation, "In the Service of the Movement: Women's Activism in the Islamic Movement in Israel," was published by the Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University in 2016.

Over the past two decades, Dr. Tal has been engaged in teaching and research in academia. Selected publications authored by her have appeared in leading academic journals and literature.

Dr. Tal is a regular participant in academic conferences in Israel and abroad. She also provides consulting and research services to institutional and research bodies.
