Jehudit Weinberger Basha International Emmy nominated freelance journalist and senior producer. In recent years Jehudit was a senior producer for 'UVDA' with Ilana Dayan, Israel's leading, award winning, long-form magazine current affairs TV show. Together with the distinguished team of 'UVDA's journalists, she creates high-profile investigations and exclusive interviews, on domestic and international issues. Since October 7th, covering the war, the stories of the people affected by it and investigative pieces trying what it is, that happened, and still happening. Her work granted rare access, resulting in unique documentary coverage such as the first (and until now only) veteran war documentarist Itai Anghel's documentary from Damascus after the fall of Assad. Other projects included coverage of the invasion and ongoing war in Ukraine (through a series of episodes) and an exclusive interview with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in Kyiv. Other projects included military and security related reports, and coverage of the judicial overhaul protests in Israel. Before joining the "UVDA" team, Jehudit worked at the Israeli broadcasting cooperation's news desk (KAN news) in various editorial and production roles. Her work granted the channel the first on-scene exclusive documentation from the Beirut port explosion in 2020 for Israeli TV; exclusive access to the foreign ministry of the United Arab Emirates, and interviews at the dawn of the Abraham Accords; special coverage of the 2020 US elections, and more. Jehudit holds a degree in international relations, Islam and Middle Eastern studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before her work as a journalist, she worked in the fields of International Relations, Diplomacy, and National Security.
