Lital Shochat Chertov is a researcher at the Abba Eban Institute for Diplomacy at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya), specializing in innovative diplomacy. As part of her work, she founded DiploMarket—a professional social network for the global diplomatic ecosystem, which currently includes over 350 members from more than 70 countries.
She co-authored a new operational concept for Israel’s foreign service, contributed to the launch of the InnoDip Prize for innovative diplomacy, and has led numerous conferences and events in the field. Currently, she is leading a research project titled “Innovating the Practice of Diplomacy.”
Lital brings over a decade of experience as a spokesperson and strategic communications advisor.
Her previous roles include spokesperson for the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, senior communications advisor at the public relations and strategy firm Ben Horin Alexandrovitz, and a position in the spokesperson's office at the Jerusalem Municipality, where she specialized in education, youth, and strategic affairs.
Lital holds the rank of Captain (Res.) in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, where she served for five years. In her last position, she was the spokesperson for the Galilee Division and currently serves as the operations officer for the IDF Spokesperson’s Northern Command representation in the reserves.
She holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is currently completing her MA in Government, Diplomacy, and Conflict Resolution at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya).
