Attorney Orly Aharoni specializes in climate policy and regulation, possessing deep and diverse knowledge of managing and structuring regulatory processes within the broad public sector, including government ministries, statutory corporations, and government-owned companies.

She is the chair of the Climate Metrics Committee for Investments at the organization "Life and Environment," an initiator of the Tel Aviv 125 Clean Climate Index excluding fossil fuels on the stock exchange. She is a partner in a research program at the Van Leer Institute focusing on globalization in the area of financial regulation to address the climate crisis. Orly provides consulting within a national program aimed at reducing emissions and transitioning to renewable energy (NZO), which presents a practical vision for achieving zero emissions in Israel, and she mediates at the Arbitration and Conflict Resolution Center.

Orly has served as the legal advisor to the Nature and Parks Authority and previously as a senior attorney in the civil prosecution. In this capacity, she represented government ministries in various legal fields, handling cases with broad policy and economic implications. She was responsible for the Judea and Samaria region within the Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office and participated in professional forums and committees. She was also part of a task force addressing serious crime, where she initiated regulatory and economic tools to combat organized crime. Additionally, she represented the Minister of Justice on the Planning and Building Committee of the Jerusalem District and served as the Minister of Finance's representative on the Board of Directors of the Rothschild Caesarea Foundation.

In her pro bono activities, she is a member of the steering committee for a project empowering women in peripheral areas under the "Shnat Pius" initiative and serves as a mentor in the "Rothschild Ambassadors" program.

Orly holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Hebrew University, a Master's degree in Public and International Law from Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University in the USA, and is a graduate of the Fellows Program at the Shalom Hartman Institute for Sustainability.
