Ortal Hazut is  an  expert in managing strategic processes, developing international and cross-sector partnerships, and driving business development in technology-driven fields.

She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in Law and Government from Reichman University, a qualified attorney by training.

A graduate of the Cadets Program for the Civil Service and the U.S. Department of State’s IVLP program, Ortal is also a member of the Voice of the People Council, a flagship initiative of the Office of the President of Israel.

She founded and led the Business Development Division at the Israel Space Agency, where she advanced growth-oriented initiatives for Israel’s space industry ecosystem and led regulatory efforts. Her previous roles include serving as a legal intern and attorney in the Legal Department of the Prime Minister’s Office, and as a Senior Project Manager at the Ministry of Strategic Affairs.

Ortal is also an author and a workshop facilitator.

Her book, Pinto (First Name), a social novel exploring center–periphery relations with autobiographical elements, was published by Modan Publishing House in 2018.
