Dr. Sharon Matzkin specializes in political trust, public opinion, and emerging technologies at the intersection of AI, cyberterrorism, and terrorism. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Haifa, where she studied how cyberattacks and AI-enabled surveillance affect public trust in government. Dr. Matzkin has secured competitive research funding, led field studies with displaced populations following the October 7 attacks, and presented her work at leading international conferences. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and policy outlets, and she has briefed the Israeli National Cyber Directorate. Prior to academia, she served as a political advisor at the Canadian Embassy in Israel and as a liaison officer at the Israeli Prime Minister's Office.
