Shira Lev-Ami has served as the CEO of the Israel National Digital Agency since 2022, responsible for leading the Israeli public sector into the digital and AI era.
Throughout her professional life, Shira has focused on impact technology and on the ways in which the integration of technology and strategy can improve the world.
In her previous role, she served as Director of Digital Innovation and Data at the Joint Israel.
Earlier, she led the digital transformation of the Israeli healthcare system as the Deputy Director-General for Digital Health and Information Systems at the Ministry of Health. She founded and managed a startup that integrated innovation into medical processes, led strategy, measurement, and a comprehensive upgrade of information systems at Yad Hanadiv Foundation, worked as a strategic consultant at Shaldor, and served as a board member in several companies. During her military service in Unit 8200, she led technological-operational development processes.
She is married and a mother of three, lives in Modi’in, and volunteers in various civil society roles.
She holds five master’s degrees with distinction—in Law; Political Science and Public Policy; Business Administration with a specialization in Technology and Information Systems Management; Economics; and Environmental Regulation and Policy—and is a graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Interdisciplinary Honors Program.
